24 sept.: Uvira / Bruno / Hafizi Trio

A modern jazz repertoire, mainly consisting of the pianist’s original compositions, on a high European level.

Jan Uvira (piano, composer) about his artistic visions and ambitions:
“My ideas, as a composer, come from different musical fields in which I find myself being involved. I enjoy playing and studying both traditional and contemporary jazz as well as some kind of interesting alternative pop music to a progressive rock mixed with classical music, for instance. Moreover I’ve been lucky to have experienced life and studies in several European countries and to have an opportunity to cooperate with amazing musicians from all over the world. And that is truly enriching.”

The trio has had a number of concerts in The Netherlands and Germany and recently it was on a successful tour through Czech Republic and Bulgaria. All the members have rich experience performing concerts not only all over Europe but also in Asian countries. They are planning to record their first album in the very near future.

Jan Uvira, pianist, studied jazz piano at the Conservatory of J. Jezek in Prague (CZ). Afterwards he attended the Music Academy of K. Szymanowski in Katowice (PL). In 2015/2016 he studied at the Codarts Academy of Music in Rotterdam (NL), under the guidance of the renowned pianists Rob van Bavel and Franz von Chossy.
