In Rythmic Colour
In Rhythmic Colour is an attempt by Vuma Ian Levin to discuss and abstract upon the beautiful, often contradictory South African national project. Joined by Jeroen Batterink Marco Zenini, Xavi Torres and Bernard Van Rossum, the group came together at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. The band blends: the drive of the American Jazz greats, the melancholy, introspective, sparseness of impressionism, the accessibility of popular music and the sounds of traditional and contemporary South African music

Esther van Hees
Haar debuut ‘Got Wings’ verleidde Jazzflits tot het uitroepen van “een nieuwe ster aan het jazzfirmament”, Eric Vloeimans vond Esther zingen “als een engel” en Randal Corsen hoorde een bijzondere combinatie van kleinkunst en jazz. Het mag duidelijk zijn: de jonge Vlaamse weet te raken met haar eerlijke performance en zuivere stem. In 2013 won Esther de conservatorium Talent Award op Jazz in Duketown.
